Chris Edes receives Libertarian Party nomination for City Council


On Saturday, March 18, Chris Edes received the nomination of the Greater Rochester Libertarian Party for City Council at their County Convention, held at Romig’s Tavern in the city. Convention delegates voted 14-1 to give Edes the nomination.

“I am humbled by the Libertarian Party’s overwhelming show of support,” Chris Edes said. “I will do my best to represent the Libertarian Party and people of the City of Rochester.”

Chris Edes has been active in leadership roles in many political organizations, across the political spectrum. He has gained experience running for office four times in local elections in Rochester, as a third party candidate.

“Chris Edes has been a tireless advocate of individual rights for the people of Rochester,” according to Kevin Wilson, the newly elected Chair of the Greater Rochester Libertarian Party, “Our City needs someone with Chris’ integrity and commitment to fight for us in City Council.”
